TIG Tungsten Electrode

TIG Tungsten Electrode Green Color AWS code: EWP

  • Pure Tungsten electrode contains 99.5%
  • Superior conductivity, high durability and performance.
  • Pure tungsten is used for welding alloys that are aluminum or magnesium
  • Generally used with transformer- based welders
  • Easily forms ball on the end

TIG Tungsten Electrode Gray Color AWS code: EWCe-2

    • Ceriated tungsten is great for striking an arc with very low amperages.
    • Best suited for welding alloys like titanium, magnesium, copper and low-alloyed steels

TIG Tungsten Electrode Red Color AWS code: EWTH2

    • 2% Thoriated is most common for DC welding of steel and stainless steel.
    • Good overall performance. High durability and low burn of rate.
    • Thoriated electrodes deposit less tungsten into the weld puddle compared to others, resulting in lower weld contamination.

TIG Tungsten Electrode Gold Color AWS code: EWLa-1.5

    • 1.5% Lanthanated tungsten contains less lanthanum compared to the blue tip.
    • Best used for DC applications

TIG Tungsten Electrode Blue Color AWS code: EWLa-2

    • 2% Lanthanated – Popular general use and performs exceptionally well with both AC and DC applications.
    • Great for welding various alloys. Steel, stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium, copper, titanium and non-corroding steels

TIG Tungsten Electrode White Color AWS code: EWZr-8

    • 0.8% Zirconated tungsten performs well at higher amperages.
    • An excellent substitute for green pure tungsten.
    • Works well with both inverter and transformer type welding machines.
    • Good for magnesium and aluminum alloys

TIG Tungsten Electrode Brown Color AWS code: EWZr-3

TIG Tungsten Electrode Turquoise Color AWS code: EWG

  • WS2 mix rare earth tungsten can be used with all materials.  Very good ignition characteristics with a high level of durability.Performance is achieved using non-radioactive compounds making it an excellent replacement for applications currently using red 2% thoriated tungsten electrodes. Benefits of converting include improved operator safety and easier disposal of tungsten shavings and stubs.
  • All Colors are available in different sizes : 1.0 mm (0.040″) | 1.6 mm (1/16″) | 2.4 mm (3/32″) | 3.2 mm (1/8″) | 4.0 mm (5/32″)
